Final Rebranding Project

Claire’s Rebrand

The final rebrand project is an opportunity to work in teams to rebrand an existing brand that has recently gone bankrupt or is in desperate need of a refreshed aesthetic and an innovative way to engage with their customers. For this rebrand pitch to be successful, you must develop both a written strategy the client can take with them as well as an in-person pitch.

The Ask:

My group chose Claire’s, as we wanted to choose a brand that felt nostalgic to us. We all grew up shopping at Claire’s, as have most of Gen-Z, and we saw a great opportunity to create a brand experience that grows with its customers. In both our paper and our pitch, we discuss the brand’s history, as well as the direction we see it going after our rebrand.

Our Process:

We wanted to make a strong, remarkable impact that emphasizes Claire’s playful nostalgic feeling. To do so, we designed a logo inspired by early 2000s scrapbook styles with a spliced color design and gradient background. Our new slogan reads, “Unleash your Inner Shimmer”, a call to action that gives the consumer the reigns to explore their style.
